About David Cay Johnston: In 1989 David Cay Johnston wrote about Donald Trump becoming president someday. Since 2016 Johnston has written three bestsellers about Trump. (The Big Cheat: How Donald Trump Fleeced America and Enriched Himself and His Family, It's Even Worse Than You Think: What the Trump Administration Is Doing to America, and The Making of Donald Trump)

Since 2009 Johnston has been the Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law, although he is not lawyer.

Johnston received a Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for his innovative reporting in The New York Times on taxes. The Pulitzer jury cited his “exquisite command” of complicated tax laws.

His next book will propose a new federal tax system for the 21st Century economy.
