Atventurist Adventure series presents: Going to North Cape 2022.

Me and my cousin, we bought Honda CB500X model 2020 at summer 2020. Since then, we had a dream to drive up north, the northernmost point of continental Europe. It´s in Norway. Then COVID19 happened and we had a plan, that if we can´t go to Norway, we will at least drive to beautifull Lappland of Finland.

DAY 1:

The adventure starts at southern Finland. We met in Asikkala, near Lahti city. And then we drove all way up to Hyrynsalmi city, where we stayed the first night in the house of my cousin´s friend.

The first day was about 650 km (400 miles). Early in the morning, it was dry, sunny and warm. But soon after we met, we stopped for breakfast at Sysmä city petrol station and then it started to rain. The temperature dropped and the wind picked up.

Driving through central Finland, it was sometimes rainy, but always cool and windy. Lunch at Iisalmi and a little bit northern after Iisalmi the sun started to shine. But the temperature was still quite low and it was very windy evening.

But finally there and the host gave us opportunity to go to sauna.
