One of the highlights of any trip on the Hurtigruten is when the Northbound and Southbound ships pass. You are normally treated to enthusiastic displays of light signals, messaging and horn blasting.
This video was taken on 25/08/2020 in the Ullsfjorden (Troms og Finnmark), North Norway. MS Finnmarken is passing the ship I was on (MS Midnatsol). It was filmed from deck 6. The thing I like about this video is it shows the scale of the terrain. Finnmarken is not a small ship (nearly 100ft tall), yet is totally dwarfed by the mountains around the Fjord.
