We finally arrived in Lofoten after many days on the road.

The weather was amazing, and we spent the next few days driving through small fishing villages, hiking mountains under the midnight sun, swimming in the cold Norwegian sea and stopping whenever I saw something I wanted to photograph.

This was our first summer travelling and camping out of the car, and Lofoten quickly became one of the highlights of the entire trip. There was something incredibly freeing about having no strict schedule, following the weather and letting photography decide where we stopped along the way.

We met some interesting people, climbed Reinebringen at midnight, explored places like Å, Reine, Hamnøy, Henningsvær and Unstad, and probably stopped the car far too many times for photographs.

Being from Norway, it's easy to forget how much we have right outside our door. This trip was a good reminder that you don't always have to travel far to experience something completely different, even though this was a very long trip!
