WE MADE IT! The whole purpose of this van build, and this trip has been to make it to this point! We cross the arctic circle line, and it is absolutely incredible, it’s like nothing we have ever experienced. The scenery and the severity of the cold are breathtaking. Our adventures in the polar north get off to a great start with a visit to an interesting natural phenomenon, but the van has other ideas and calls in sick again! With the help of an amazing local mechanic we get back on the road and head over to the stunningly beautiful Lofoten Islands, but our joy is short lived as the van breaks down again, but this time, we find ourselves on an arctic island with a van that won’t even start to allow us to charge the batteries for the heating system to stay on.
