2021 has been a special year, After almost a year and half of partial lockdown.. we could travel again... However, we decided to stay in Norway and go further north for Summer holidays. We will travel to best places in Lofoten. The Lofoten Islands are characterised by their mountains and peaks, sheltered inlets, stretches of seashore and large virgin areas which made up for an incredible road trip. This video features fishing village Ballstad and hike to Mannen. Also features beautiful white sand beaches Haukland, Vik and Uttakleiv.

Ballstad is a village in Vestvågøy Municipality and it is one of the largest fishing villages in Lofoten. There are several hiking possibilities in Ballstad.

Mannen mountain is located between two of Lofoten's most beautiful beaches Haukland and Uttakleiv. Hike is short, steep but relatively easy. One can easily spend full day combining hike and visit to two beaches.

The hike trail to Mannen starts at Haukland beach. There is a car parking available at the beach. Arrive early to get a parking spot.

During our visit to Mannen, there was no sunshine and it was raining and quiet windy. Track was slippery too but not dangerous.
