Distance: The hike is about 2 km (1.2 mi) round-trip. ⛰️ Elevation: You’ll climb roughly 450 m (1,480 ft), with almost 2,000 stone steps. ⏱️ Time: Most hikers finish in 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on pace and breaks. ⚡ Difficulty: Short but steep — considered moderate to difficult because of the constant stairs. ????️ Parking: Use the larger public lot labeled Parking Reinebringen in town, since the smaller lot at Reine Utsiktspunkt fills quickly. This is one of the most iconic hikes in Norway and for good reason. The view over Reine, Sakrisøy, and Hamnøy feels like a painting, especially under the midnight sun.
