We take the journey from Mestre to the cruise terminal in Venice and use the People Mover - but how long is the walk to the ship, when you get off. For us, it was about 10-15 mins. We could have got off our bus at the stop before Piazzale Roma and walked directly from there. MSC's onboarding was a bit odd too, lots of queuing literally as you walk onto the ship with three separate checks done on your cruise documentation!
