We have wanted to go to Norway for years I was there as a child and remembered it was a beautiful country, but to be there as an adult with a camera in hand was fantastic. It was a rough start with our luggage that was lost when we arrived in Tromso and the first three days in Senja the weather was pretty bad. But we quickly realized that it was a landscape photographers dream place. This trip we hiked so many hard trails that were pretty challenging due to weather snow and ice and high winds, a land of extremes but oh so beautiful. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fly the drone most days with the winds. As for wildlife we got extremely lucky to be able to see and film a white reindeer and learned they are extremely rare and actually are no albinos just have a genetic mutation that causes to lose pigment on its fur.
Lofoten Islands is amazing some of the beaches had such nice blue water that it almost looked like a tropical beach in Hawaii. The views we got from the hikes were spectacular and so rewarding I can only imagine if you get the best conditions that this would be out of this world. We are so grateful to have pushed ourselves thru some pretty intense weather but that drama and mood made us feel like vikings that just won the victory of the north with its dragons hiding on the beach.
