Part 1: A Rough Start in the Arctic
Our trip begins in the beautiful city of Tromsø, but it kicks off with a classic travel headache: we arrived, but our luggage didn't. Join us as we navigate a few days in the chilly north without our bags, roll with the punches of an unexpected delay, and soak in the breathtaking fall colors of the Arctic forests.
Part 2: The Lofoten Islands Dream
After a massive 8-hour drive, we arrive in the breathtakingly beautiful Lofoten Islands. We give you a full tour of our incredible accommodation—a "typical old Norwegian fishing apartment" with a jaw-dropping view—and get ready to explore the dramatic beauty of this famous archipelago.
Part 3: Hiking, Humility & A Near-Disaster
This chapter is all about our travel philosophy and respecting the power of nature. Feeling spontaneous, we embark on an unplanned hike that turns out to be a big mistake. We share the story of why we had to abandon the dangerously wet and slippery trail, a real-time lesson that gave us major flashbacks to our toughest hike in Costa Rica!
Part 4: Conquering the Legendary Reinebringen
After a lesson in humility, we tackle one of the most famous—and most challenging—hikes in all of Norway: the legendary Reinebringen trail. It was a tough slog of over 1600 steps, but the panoramic views from the summit were absolutely worth every bit of the struggle.
Part 5: Wild Senja & Farewell to the North
Our adventure concludes on the wild island of Senja. We take on a mix of trails, from the famous Hesten hike with its iconic views of Segla mountain, to a muddy trek where we had to make the tough call to turn back. Finally, we wrap things up back in Tromsø before we fly off to our next, very different destination: Seychelles!
