Driving to Nordkapp in winter was always going to be an adventure — but we didn’t expect a full Arctic blizzard.

After reaching the Nordkapp monument, the weather suddenly turned and powerful winds and heavy snow forced authorities to close the road completely. With visibility disappearing and conditions getting worse, we found ourselves stuck at the northernmost point in Europe.

Standing at the famous Nordkapp globe in the middle of the storm was surreal… but the real challenge came next.

Before the road shut again due to extreme winds, the only way out was to join a snowplow convoy driving through the blizzard back across the plateau.
