High pressure over Scandinavia will bring bitterly cold air and the first widespread snowfalls of the winter to much of northern and northeastern Europe in the coming week while low pressure in the Atlantic brings further spells of heavy rain and strong winds with less cold or milder air to much of western Europe. Southern Europe will be relatively warm but with so much volatility as airmasses clash there will be an increasing risk of heavy showers, thunderstorms and longer spells of rain throughout the Mediterranean...
