If you had to guess which country in the world has the most islands, you’d probably assume that you would find it in South East Asia. Maybe the Philippines or Indonesia?

But you would be completely wrong. The Philippines’ 7,641 islands and Indonesia’s 17,504 islands don't even make the top 5 list of countries with the most islands.

Believe it or not, you can actually find the top three countries in the Nordic Region.

3. Finland has 178,947 islands
2. Norway has 239,057 islands
1. Sweden has 267,570 islands
