In the summer of 2020 we would fulfill a dream of driving all the way to the Nordkapp by motorbike. A motorbike trip from Tromsø to Alta along the E8 and E6 is an epic journey through some of Northern Norway's most spectacular landscapes. The trip of approximately 400 km offers everything from majestic fjords and vast valleys to mighty mountains and arctic wilderness.

Tromsø, also known as the Paris of the Nordics. On your way out of the city, you drive over the Tromsø bridge, and soon the city lights disappear, and you are embraced by the tranquility of nature.
Approx. 70 km. to Nordkjosbotn. The road is wide, perfect for enjoying the view.

From Nordkjosbotn and northwards, the landscape opens up, and you get a view of the Lyng Alps - a paradise for nature lovers. We took a break at Circle K near Skibotn. Kvænangsfjellet, approx. 400 m above sea level, offers a panoramic view of Oksfjorden and Kvænangsfjorden.
After the mountain pass, we passed the Reisa valley and several small villages before arriving in Alta.

Alta is known for the world-famous rock carvings at the Alta Museum, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for its modern Northern Lights Cathedral.
