Remember David Bromstad from My Lottery Dream Home? What Really Happened
David Bromstad has been the cheerful face of HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home since 2015. But when a Florida storm flooded his own dream home and left it full of mold, he went through the hardest stretch of his life. In this video, we look at his path from Cokato, Minnesota to winning Design Star in 2006, the renovation that fell apart, his decision to seek treatment, his climb up Reinebringen in Norway, and why he said in June 2026 that he may never design on camera again.
